The legend says “From the ashes, the phoenix will rise again!” The Atlanta Burger Wars is an exciting event being hosted at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton GA. The competition that pits some of the greatest burger masters against one another for a chance at three tickets to compete in the World Food Championships – Judge’s Choice (Team), People’s Choice (Team), and Judge’s Choice (Individual)! Professional judges anoint the Judge’s Choice, but “We The People” will decide the People’s Choice. So, bring out the whole family and enjoy a fun-packed day eating some of the best burgers round! The Atlanta Burger Wars is being hosted in honor of the McDonough Arts and Speedway Children’s charities.

- Categories: Individual & Team. Individuals are ONLY cooking for the judges. Teams are cooking for the judges and providing samples to the general public.
- Prizes: · There will be three winners – Judge’s Choice Award (Individual & Team) and People’s Choice Award (Team). Prizes include the following:
o Judge’s Choice (Team) – Golden Ticket to the World Food Championships; $5,000 in prize money; $1,000 travel stipend for 2017 WFC; $300 paid entry fee for 2017 WFC; $500 advertising package from ZOOM 105.9
o People’s Choice Award (Team) – Golden Ticket to the World Food Championships; $1000 travel stipend for 2017 WFC; Bull BBQ grilling accessories; and $300 paid entry fee for 2017 WFC
o Judge’s Choice (Individual) – Golden Ticket to World Food Championships; 4 tickets to see Atlanta United Soccer; 4 tickets from Coca-Cola to area events such as the Atlanta Braves, Six Flags, Whitewater, World of Coke, etc.; 2 designer cornhole boards by Atlanta Beverage; $300 paid entry fee for the 2017 WFC

Atlanta Burger Wars will be held May 6th 2017 in Hampton, Georgia at Atlanta Motor Speedway (11 – 4 PM) event replaces the Battle of the Burgers which benefitted Embrace. Embrace merged with another charity and has decided not to host the annual event. – Why Atlanta Motor Speedway? One of racing’s most storied venues hosts 500 miles of edge-of-the-seat action when the sport’s biggest names visit Atlanta for the second stop of the 2017 NASCAR season for the final race on the legendary racing surface before it’s repaved!
